10 Mistakes To Avoid While Hiring A Relocation Service

People try to take utmost care while selecting packers and movers, but still, some end up selecting wrong relocation service which results in unnecessary wastage of time and money.
Here are ten mistakes that people generally tend to make while hiring packers and movers Bangalore:

1. Leaving It Till The Last Moment
Relocation is not that easy. Give yourself enough time to get your home ready for the move. Leaving the task of hiring packers and movers till the end will create unnecessary chaos for you.

2. Making “Cost” The Main Criterion For Selection
Cheap doesn’t always mean good. Saving money by hiring a packers and movers professional service that gives you the lowest cost might make you shell out extra money cause of the damage they caused due to careless handling.

3. Not Doing Enough Research
Before selecting the relocation service, check about reviews from their past customers online. Take advice from friends and relatives who have shifted recently.

4. Going With The First Vendor
Even if you are pressed for time, try getting quotes from multiple vendors and go with the one that suits you the best.

5. Not Checking Credibility of The Vendor
These days there are many fake online movers and packers Bangalore who are duping people taking the name of genuine packers and movers. Always hire a licensed professional.

6. Not Getting Insurance
Saving money by not getting transit insurance is a big mistake. The damage caused due to careless handling of goods might cost you more money than the insurance itself.

7. Not Getting A Proof
Get all the terms and conditions related to relocation along with payment details in a written format from the vendor. A vendor refusing to do so is a sure red-flag, do not hire him.

8. Not Asking Enough Questions
Hiring professional packers and movers service qualifies you for customer support from the vendor. Ask them any questions that you might have related to the relocation such as – type of vehicles that will be used, packaging and unpacking assistance that will be provided etc.

9. Packing Unnecessary Things
Don’t pack everything you own while shifting, getting rid of unnecessary stuff will help you save time and money. Give things that you don’t want to friends, family or charity.

10. Selecting A Wrong Day For Relocation
The day you select for relocation can impact your relocation process. Plan it during a weekday as on Sundays or Public holidays the roads are busy with traffic which might cause unnecessary delays.

Why You Shouldn't Base Your Medical Judgement Purely From Research Off the Internet

The internet has grown from being a space where you could find information, to a space where you can share your set of information too. YouTube for videos, Soundcloud for audio, Wordpress for written content and Tumblr for pictures. These are just a bunch of the key platforms that allow people to share their talent, research, information and experiences with the world outside. But like everything else in life, this too has its set of pointers that will open new windows of thought that ultimately lead to learning and the other that will do the same, but may take you spiraling down a dreadful drain. Health and medical care is the one topic, if followed purely by internet research can make things go very very wrong. If all the information that was received from the internet were true, we would all be terminally ill. But thank the stars that it isn't so! While it allows people from all corners of the world to share their bit, it does not guarantee that everything you come across will be legitimate. The one fad that never fails to grab the attention of men and women are the before and after transformation posts. A minimum of one post at the least has appeared in your Facebook feeds. Some of these posts show drastic transformations where the person has undergone surgery which has corrected that crooked nose or protruding chin or sliced out the double chin to leave a chiseled jawline. If there is one thing that these posts make us do, it is to envy the perfection these people have achieved with their surgeries. But a common mistake that many do is to not consult cosmetic surgeons in Pune, but rather, resort to the blogs and vlogs that people share and take what they say as Gospel truth. Here is how you can go horribly wrong without the advice of a professional.

Bargain is best – When the popularity of something grows, the prices of the same tend to get competitive in the market. However, choosing to settle on the surgery based on the price is not the best way to go. Think of that time when your friend or someone you know went to a tattoo artist who set up shop in a shady corner only because they wanted a tattoo. And what was initially expected to look like a face turns out to look no less than an egg head. I have witnessed these tattoos go so wrong, that the person had to be rushed to the hospital because the needles had caused a hideous infection. I don't think any one of you reading this would want to be dealing with a situation like that. And no, not even those home remedies suggested on sites can help you get things right.

You can get it right the second time – Oh Lord NO!!! When getting cosmetic surgery done, know that the best results can be achieved in the first go itself, which is why follow rule number one and don't mess it up. Getting a correction done after the first surgery has a greater chance of going wrong that anything else. The best example of such a case is the legendary Michael Jackson. Repeatedly going under the knife generally too, is not the best idea. Hence, choosing the right surgeon the first time itself is important.

Zero scars – If someone tries to sell you the idea that you will be left with not a single scar, turn away instantly. This specially goes for the bigger surgeries such as arm lifts, breast augmentation and tummy tightening. There is in no way you can undergo a surgery this big and walk out looking drastically different with not the slightest scar seen. Those getting into surgeries like these are of the belief that if the doctor is skilled then there is hardly any scope of a scar showing after the surgery. Truth be told, genetic factors play a much bigger role in this case.

Cosmetic surgery solves all problems – 'No one is perfect' is something we have been hearing endlessly. But it is true. Why are you getting the surgery done? If there is a part of your body you wish to improve, surgery in all probability can do it. It can also make you feel good for a while. But it can in no way heal any kind of emotional stress. If there is an emotional turmoil that you are dealing with, then cosmetic surgery is not going to be able to fix it.
I understand that this article may come off as a little ironic but my only suggestion here is to consult the ones who are truly the professionals. Verify the doctor you go to by checking the credentials and steer away from the pseudo medical experts. If you stick to consulting the reputed cosmetic surgeons Pune, you will be able to enjoy a much better outcome.

10 Questions You Must Ask Before Hiring Packers & Movers

In India, unfortunately, there are no strict laws and rules regarding the packing and moving. Due to this, new moving companies are started every year by people who have very little or no knowledge of relocation industry. While there are many reputed moving companies, there are many that operate without proper registration and licensing.

Here are 10 questions to ask before you hire packers and movers Bangalore:

1.    Is it a licensed company?
These days there are many fake online movers and packers Bangalore who are duping people in the name of genuine packers and movers. A registered firm is liable to pay damages in case of fraud or damage to the goods.

2.    Can they provide references of their past customer?
References from past customers will help in establishing the credibility of the vendor and quality of service provided.

3.    Since how long they are in the business?
Hiring an experienced moving firm ensures your valuables will be handled by experts in the field who have a deep understanding of best practices to ensure smoother relocation.

4.    What is your company’s permanent business address?
A physical presence provides extra assurance about the presence of business and keeps you safe from online scam firms. Visiting the physical office of the moving firm is highly advisable.

5.    Do they have a customer care helpline?
It is important to know what sort of assistance will be provided in case something goes wrongs or a change is in made in the relocation arrangement. A reputed firm always provides a customer care helpline number which is prompt in their response.

6.    Are you willing to put every commitment into writing?
It is very important to get the terms of relocation arrangement in written format mentioning the details of services and assistance to be provided by the Moving firm. In case something goes wrong, it acts as a proof and the firm can be held accountable.

7.    Do they provide an insurance?
Getting an insurance while shifting safeguards your valuable items against damage during transit or careless handling.

8.    What are the payment terms?
Get clarity on payment terms offered by the firm. It is very important as it will safeguard you against additional charges that can be added to the final billing.

9.    Do they provide facilities such as temporary storage?
Temporary storage can be handy in case your new home is not available for shifting.

10.    What are the provisions in case of delay or damage to goods?
Delays and damage can happen during shifting of goods due to some inevitable circumstances. It is important to know what sort of assistance will be given in such case.

The mistakes I have mentioned in the article can be avoided if you take careful steps from the very beginning. Are there any more question that you think should be added to this list? Let me know through comments.

Relocation Woes? Justdial To The Rescue

After staying in Bangalore for last five years with my husband, the news of his transfer to Mumbai came like a bolt from the blue.

Although we were not big on assets having a year old kid made things a little bit difficult. With Ravi, my husband, going on work, as usual, the whole responsibility of arranging the relocation fell on me. Considering we had a less than a couple of weeks to shift I started with online research to get the basic idea of things to be considered while hiring professional packers and movers service. I came across justdial.com offering a list of top packers and movers Bangalore. I shortlisted few vendors, after reading their reviews on site. Within an hour I was contacted by a couple of vendors. Although a little surprised with the promptness of the service I enquired about few basic details such as their license, number of experience of their firm in the field, kind of assistance that would be provided which is recommended.

I scheduled meetings with two of the vendors who visited our home for further discussion and quotes. The critical deciding factors for selecting the vendor were- experience in the industry, past customer reviews, service guarantee, insurance provided.

Finally, we decided to go with the most popular packers and movers in the city as they offered everything we were looking for.

On the day of the move, the crew members visited our home in the morning around 9 AM. Each item was handled carefully and packed in labeled boxes. The loading was complete by 12 PM. Our flight was scheduled at 6 PM the next day.  We were surprised to see the crew unloading our goods by the time we reached at our new home in Mumbai.

All thanks to Justdial for making our last week in the city stress-free and coming to the rescue!
